On April 4, Boltz Auction Company of Lancaster, Pa., conducted a bi-weekly sale at its Columbia Avenue facility that included a large Walter Steely rocking chair which sold for $325. Steely was a furniture maker in Lititz, Pa., and his work has a regional following. Two other Steely rockers sold. They went for $250 each. A zinc-lined dry sink sold for $290; a three-piece Victorian era bedroom suite, $450; a Hoosier cabinet, $350; and a butcher block table sold for $400. A tray lot of costume jewelry brought $210 and a Charles Albert violin with case sold for $900.
