The Historic Burlington Antiques and Art Emporium is offering a “Pick-An-Egg” promotion during the month of April. With a purchase, customers may pick a plastic egg from a large basket left by the Easter Bunny. There is a prize in each egg, and shoppers have a chance to win a gift certificate, a dealer discount, a candy treat or an Easter pail of chocolate.
Located at 424 High St. in Burlington City, N.J., the Emporium is filled with art and antiques from the early 1800s to the collectibles of today. One dealer is selling an 1818 edition of "The Life of George Washington With Curious Anecdotes” by M.L. Weems, an 1818 fraktur of a bird and a needlework sampler dated 1809. The Emporium is loaded with treasures. Items for the man cave, country furniture, art works by listed artists, glassware, pottery, toys and jewelry can all be found.
With the arrival of spring, the courtyard will transform into a gardener's paradise with cement statues, cement animals, bistro sets, lawn furniture and unusual flowers.
The Emporium in open every day of the week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours on Thursdays until 7 p.m. The coffee pot is always on and complimentary snacks are offered.
