This interesting book provides a “heads-up” for potential investments in particular items that may become tomorrow's popular col-lectibles. Throughout this volume, the authors clue readers to the hidden treasures in their homes and to those waiting to be purchased in a range of sales venues. An informative introduction offers hints on researching collectible fields, damage and restoration, spotting a fake, and rules to collect by.
Specific suggestions are eclectic and interesting and include such goodies as: twentieth century pottery, vintage baby cups, head vases, plastic jewelry, old fishing lures, vintage garden tools, Danish Postmodern china, pincushion dolls, Bakelite, and much, much more. One of the best features of the volume is the organization of each collectible category, which includes sections on history, “Items to Look For”, and “Top Tips.”
