Currency And Political Memorabilia Auction Scheduled For July 15 At Pook & Pook

Pook & Pook Inc. has announced a summer auction of currency and political memorabilia will take place on Wednesday, July 15, at 10 a.m., online at www.Bidsquare.com. The sale will include over 200 lots of coins and paper money as well as approximately 75 lots of political pins and related ephemera.
Focusing predominately on American items, the July sale opens with currency. The sale will feature Colonial pieces, large assortments of Civil War and Hard Times tokens, gold and silver dollars and unique paper currency, all supported by a plethora of other desirable pieces. Highlights will include two uncirculated Saint-Gaudens $20 coins, multiple $10 and $5 gold coins, a 1909-S VDB Lincoln Head cent, and three 1875 20 cent pieces. Multiple commemorative medals have also elicited interest and transition the sale nicely into political memorabilia.
A large collection of pins, tokens and other campaign ephemera finish the sale. Representing over a century of presidential and legislative candidates, this rare assortment features an Abraham Lincoln and Hannibal Hamlin presidential ferrotype, an uncommonly large John W. Davis button, and a Theodore Roosevelt articulated pin reading "Give Them Hell Boys" inside its open mouth.
