C. Wayne Shultz Announces Large Americana Auction For Saturday, April 18

The Unreserved Sale Will Feature His Personal Collection

Auctioneer C. Wayne Shultz of Williamsburg, Blair County, Pa., has announced his 20th biannual Americana auction, which will feature his private 42-year personal collection. The unreserved Americana auction is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at the Memorial Park Sports Complex Building located at 201 S. Walnut St. in Martinsburg, Blair County, Pa.
The sale will consist of 26 pieces of country furniture, including four pieces of Soap Hollow, 12 pieces of miniature furniture, many primitives, and an extensive collection of American wrought iron (50 pieces). There will be 70 pieces of stoneware and redware; a rare Civil War powder horn; 33 trapunto stuffed, appliqued, and pieced quilts; coverlets; and hooked rugs. The sale will also have 30 excellent pieces of R.S. Prussia; quality glassware; sterling silver flatware sets and a four-piece sterling coffee and tea set; 14- and 18-carat gold jewerly, American Indian jewerly; tin and cast iron toys; and a Tiffany & Co. cold-painted bronze Askros claret jug. Many lamps will be sold as well, including Pairpoints, reverse painted, and Gone with the Wind. There will also be many more items among other categories.
