JR's Auctioneering of Trappe, Pa., sold a 1963 split window Corvette on Oct. 22 for $56,000. The sale took place in Pottstown, Pa. JR’s does not charge a buyer’s premium. The car was in midnight blue with a 327-cubic-inch engine, four-speed transmission, and 39,000 miles. It went to a local collector.
There were 160 registered bidders from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, and Wisconsin.
