Monthly Display Showcases Automobiles At The Grist Mill Antiques Center

August 13, 2015

Ever since the first Model T rolled off the assembly line, Americans have been in love with automobiles, and some of the most lasting memories have been made in them. Kids could hardly wait for the newfound freedom when they received their driver's permit. Countless nights were spent at drive-ins, and taking road trips during summer vacation seemed to be an integral part of the fabric of American life.
Today, that nostalgic time is revisited at the Grist Mill Antiques Center in Pemberton, N.J. Throughout the month of August, the shop is celebrating with its special display on the automobile. Showcased are vintage license plates and hub caps, hood ornament and gear shift knobs, road maps and car manuals, oil cans and tools, advertisements and signs, as well as many other automobile or oil and gas company collectibles.
Shoppers will find that there's always something going on at the Grist Mill Antiques Center. The last Wednesday of each month, the store hosts a Scavenger Hunt. Lists will be handed out at 5 p.m., and the person who finds the most items by 8 p.m. will be awarded a prize. Light refreshments will be served.
To sign up for the center’s weekly email, visit them on Facebook and check out the website to find out about special sales and events.
