Collectors of advertising came out in force on Feb. 14 for Millers Auction Company’s single owner advertising auction in Tomah, Wis. Based in Hixton, Wis., Glenn Miller has been putting together quality advertising sales for several years. According to Miller, this sale was their best yet. They sold 459 lots of advertising signs, clocks, thermometers, license plates and some toys. Most items were of very high quality. Items in excellent condition to NOS (new old stock) accounted for the majority of pieces sold. There were around 200 people attending the auction from 13 states and Canada.
Miller offered online bidding through Auctionzip.com. There were over 1,500 online bidders registered to bid from all over the world.
Miller’s next sale will be a 500-lot auction scheduled for Saturday, March 21, in Tomah, Wis.
