Vintage Hardware On Display At Grist Mill Antiques Center

April 1, 2015

The trend of renovating in the vintage style has only increased over the past few years. "Shabby-Chic," rustic, and period design have taken the home decorating industry by storm. But why purchase a reproduction when the real thing is affordable?
Authentic, period objects are great for decorating, so this month at the Grist Mill Antiques Center in Pemberton, N.J., the shop is displaying a fantastic selection of vintage hardware. From vintage heater grates to switch plates, there is an amazing treasure trove of brass, bronze, porcelain, iron and glass to choose from.
The Grist Mill will be showcasing styles from the Victorian era, Art Nouveau, and Mid-Century Modern periods and will even have some groovy pieces from the psychedelic ’70s, so whatever an individual’s taste is, the Grist Mill can assist them in finding exactly what is needed for decorating or adding to a collection.
Included in this month's display is door hardware of all types, including glass knobs, brass knockers, intricately designed hinges and letterbox slots, bronze door bells and push plates. Spring is the perfect time to spruce up a front door with these beautiful accessories. For the interior of a home, they have antique finials, bathroom fixtures, wall hooks, drawer pulls, shelf brackets and curtain hardware. There is a tremendous variety to choose from.
