Wallace Nutting Collectors Club Conference Set For Sept. 22 To 24

The Wallace Nutting Collectors Club will be meeting for a special conference in conjunction with the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum exhibit "Wallace Nutting: Preservation Pioneer." There will be no charge for this conference, and the public is welcome. Membership is not required to attend.
The conference will take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Sept 22, 23, and 24, in Wethersfield, Conn.
On Thursday evening at 6 p.m., at the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum at 211 Main St., Michael Ivankovich will present a lecture titled "Wallace Nutting Overview 1861-1941."
On Friday at 3 p.m., at the Episcopal Trinity Parish Hall at 300 Main St., a special auction will be held with over 350 lots of Wallace Nutting furniture and hand-colored photography.
On Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m., also at the Episcopal Trinity Parish Hall, a Buy, Sell or Trade show will take place. Both dealers and collectors from around the country will be bringing their best quality merchandise for this sale. At 10 a.m., member presentations will take place, followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the Wallace Nutting exhibit at the Webb House, personally conducted by Charles Lyle, executive director of the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum. There will be a fee of $8 per person for the special tour. There will be no registration for this event, but the Wallace Nutting Collectors Club would appreciate an RSVP by emailing sue@wnutting.com.

The Wallace Nutting Collectors Club started in 1973 and today has grown to include members throughout the United States and Canada. Its objective is to help members learn more about Wallace Nutting and his work.
