Yesteryear Antique Center Reopens

August 25, 2016

Twelve years ago, the four owners of the current Yesteryear Antique Center were working to turn a neglected 60-year-old factory in Hanover, Pa., into a new, clean, modern antique mall. Originally, the building served as a shoe insole factory, but it had been home to several other businesses over the years.
In August of 2004, the ownership group, using Antiques and Auction News, advertised for dealers to join. The mall opened two months later with 30 dealers. Today, there are 130 dealers in the 26,000-square-foot facility. The mall is on one floor and is climate controlled and mostly carpeted.
Due to Winter Storm Jonas, the Yesteryear Antique Center was forced to close the leftmost aisle of the mall for five months. Now, with a new roof, new reinforcing beams, new tiles, and new lighting, it is fully operational.
Several weeks ago, the mall held a grand reopening sale, and thanks to many loyal customers and dealers, it turned out to be the best promotional sale it ever presented.
To thank all the customers and dealers that continued to support Yesteryear during the long period of construction, the mall will host a special Fallfest Sale. Over Labor Day weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 3 and 4, in addition to dealer discounts, the mall will give a 15 percent discount for customers paying with a check or cash. There will be a 10 percent discount for buyers paying with a debit or credit card. The discount is limited to a total sales amount up of $250.
The Yesteryear Antiques Center is located at 441 Pine St. in Hanover, Pa., and is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Yesteryear Café will be open during the Fallfest Sale with a limited menu.
