The Picasso portfolio features a colophon signed by both Cocteau and Picasso and is expected to bring between $4,000 and $6,000. Other artwork to be sold will be a finely cast bronze by Isidore-Jules Bonheur (est. $5,000-$7,000). A Violet Oakley sketch titled The Spirit of Ministry (est. $2,000-$3,000) will also cross the block. The study is one of two Christmas images made for Century Magazine in 1903.
Also featured in this sale will be a massive 204 ozt sterling tray from Goldsmiths and Silversmiths of London, circa 1904 (est. $3,000-$4,000). Jewelry will include a 2.2-carat old mine cut diamond solitaire ring (est. $3,000-$5,000), as well as an antique citrine bracelet (est. $600-$800).
