Springfield, Ohio, Antique Show To Host 3,000 Exhibitors

May 11, 2017

The large four-day Springfield Antique Show and Flea Market is set for Thursday to Sunday, May 18 to 21, at the Clark County Fairgrounds, just outside the southern Ohio city of Springfield. The show will host 3,000 exhibiting dealers and is anticipating another record crowd of shoppers. The popular antiques market is the largest single-site show in the country, according to manager Steve Jenkins.
Dealers fill all the available buildings on the former aircraft factory and airport grounds with early Americana, collectibles, and quality vintage goods. There will be outstanding collections in textiles, fashion material, pottery, glass, and lighting, just to name a few categories.
The Springfield market is a show where dealers, decorators, and wholesalers from throughout the United States and overseas come to replenish their own inventories, filling rental trucks with material to become stock in shops in other parts of the country and abroad.
Shoppers enjoy great selections and a variety of food service all weekend long, including homemade ice cream, local brews, and ethnic menus from area chefs.
Special events and activities will include Michael Osacky of Baseball in the Attic giving appraisals and showcasing an exhibit of historic baseball memorabilia. Osacky will be available in the Youth Building from Friday, May 19, at noon through May 21.
May 18 will be an early setup buying day. Admission will be $40 to shop the line before exhibiting dealers move into their places. That ticket is good for the entire weekend. On May 19 from 7 a.m. to noon, admission will be $15 and will also be good all weekend. From noon to 6 p.m. on May 19 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, admission will be $10. Admission on May 21 will be $7. Outside exhibiting dealers and some food venders stay will open later than the regular show hours listed for the main fairground building.
Located at Exit 59 on I-70, the Clark County Fairgrounds is easy to access.
